OP Tampere is offering coffee for new students! You can get the free coffee by getting the coupon from Kide.app during the campaign, one coupon per student. There is limited amount of coupons available.
As a part of cooperation of OP Tampere and Tamko, this coupon is only for Tamko members, membership is checked at the cashier. The coupon is valid only in Campusravita or Tori Mediapolis restaurants until 30.9.2023 and applies only to normal, regular size coffee.

2. Stand as a candidate in Council elections!
You can stand as a candidate in Council elections!
If YOU want to make a difference, make new friends and experience, then stand as a candidate!
We would like to remind that the official working language of the Council is Finnish.
To become a candidate, you need to do three steps:
1. REGISTER FOR THE LIST OF CANDIDATES OR CREATE YOUR OWN LIST
On Tamko’s the website’s election page there is an updated list of existing lists notified to Tamko.
If you can’t find suitable list for yourself, you can also set up your own! Please indicate the list you have set up yourself here.
2. FILL IN TAMKO’S ELECTRONIC CANDIDATE ANNOUNCEMENT
Use the form to answer your basic information as well as, for example, your election theme, slogan and photo

3. ADVERTISE YOURSELF!
Tamko advertises all candidates, but the candidates themselves can advertise themselves or their joint list of candidates quite freely, for example, with their own posters, stands or on social media.

3. Tamko’s Alkumetri is coming!
The school year has kicked off quickly and now it’s time to accelerate properly! You see, it’s time for Tamko’s Alkumetri! Alkumetri will be held on 5.10.2023 at Viihdemaailma Ilona and doors are open 21-05. It’s worth starting to stretch your dance leg already, because Ilona’s stage is taken over by MOUHOUS. This hot boy band can raise the mood anywhere, anytime!
The ticket price in advance is 5 € for everyone. With an advance ticket, you can enter your own queue until 23:00. Tickets at the door 10 €.

4. Welcome to Autumn Trip!
Come along and enjoy in the finnish nature at Seitseminen National park! A bus leaves from TAMK’s main door (Kuntokatu) at 2 p.m. to Seitseminen’s Aarnipolku (the Aarni path). There will be sausages, juice and marshmallows by the fireplace. Return journey leaves at 8 p.m. The total amount of hiking will be about 5 kilometers. The trip is made in co-operation Mesikerho, Tamko and Tampio.
If you need assisted access, please contact Mesikerho before buying your ticket (mesikerho@tamko.fi). Prepare with weather-appropriate gear and get ready for low light in the evening!
Start: TAMK main doors (Kuntokatu side) at 2 p.m.
Return: Back at TAMK around 9.30 p.m.

5. Hangouts Trivia Night!
October’s theme for Hangouts is trivia night!
Come and try if your trivia knowledge is up to your standards, say hi to new people, and play board games. Arrive at Solu’s sauna on 2.10. at 5 pm! You can also just come hang out and hop into the warm sauna. Please bring your own sauna things!
During the evening, there will be something to eat and drink, you are allowed to bring your own snacks and board games too!
Hangouts is a free and alcohol-free event. Get a stamp from the event to your Tursaspassi to “Participate in Tamko’s Hangouts”

6. Healthcare fee deadline is getting close!
Students in universities and universities of applied sciences who are entitled to use the services of the Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS, Finnish abbreviation YTHS) must pay a healthcare fee to Kela. In 2023, the student healthcare fee in higher education is EUR 36.80 per term. The fee may be paid to Kela for both the spring and the autumn term. You are not billed for the fee, but are expected to pay it unprompted.
The due dates are determined based on the date on which you have registered as attending. There are four possible due dates in each calendar year. For the autumn term, the due date is 30th of September provided that you have registered as attending by then.

7. Tolu’s autumn sports shifts
Tampereen orastavat lihakset urheiluseura ry, also known as Tolu ry, is a sports club located at Tampere. The club was founded in 2011 for the benefit of TAMK students and personnel. Tolu offers several kinds of events that offer sporty and other active life experiences.
Come join us for weekly sports shifts (vakiovuoro) at Kauppi Sportuni every Tuesday at 5 PM – 6.30 PM. At weekly sports shift we play all kinds of ball games. At the summer time we also offer outdoor activities.
To particitipate in weekly sport shifts at Sportuni hall you need either Sportuni membership or pay the single fare. No need for sign ups or register beforehand. Just show up and have some fun!
8. Board game club Kultti’s Game night!
Board game club Kultti is inviting you to join in playing many different kinds of board games in an easygoing atmosphere open to all members of our Universities community. We’re meeting on Thursday 28 September at 5 pm at Boardgame Café Taverna, in which we’ve reserved fie tables for our use. You can play as late as to 10 pm.
Registration for the game night starts on Monday 25 September at 5 pm. The number of places is limited, so be quick! As you register, choose a game you would like to join. We will start the night at these assigned tables but as time goes on, we will reshuffle and play different games depending on the interest of the group. Every table will have a member of the Kultti committee, who will explain the rules for everyone at the start. You don’t need prior experience to join! The ticket to Taverna is €3,5 for students and €4 for everyone else.
Four of the five games will be held in Finnish and one in English. Please choose a game according to your language needs, so everyone will have space to join.

9. Snäkkiappro 2023
It is time to taste small student-priced meals along the center of Tampere. So buy a ticket, pull-up your overalls, pick up your hungry friends and go try the foods with the guidance of SnäkkiAppro Pass.
If you already have PrepChef and JuniorChef badge in your overalls, it is time to rise up to the next level and achieve the MasterChef badge! Also, Snäkkiappro is a great opportunity for new students to get familiar with the restaurants in Tampere.
