Continue your membership

Continuing members can get a new academic year sticker from Tamko’s office or from Solu’s pop-up services. Continuing members do not need to fill out the membership application again. If studies continue overtime, you can prove your valid study right at the office by showing the information from Pakki.

Through our online service, you can also update your member information and check your information from the member register.

Student card stickers

The student card has a sticker which shows that the student card is valid.

1/2026 (academic term) yellow sticker is valid 1.8.2025 – 31.1.2026
9/2026 (academic year) blue sticker is valid 1.8.2025 – 30.9.2026

Mailing of your academic year sticker

Usually new stickers should be picked up from Tamko’s office. If you live outside of Tampere you can buy mailing to your student card through Kide.app for the price of 3,50 €. Please note, we don’t mail cards outside of Finland.

A good tip while waiting for the sticker to arrive by mail is using the mobile student card!
Tamko members can use the mobile student card for free through the Tuudo and Slice mobile apps. You’ll get access to all the student benefits that you would with the physical student card. Tuudo and Slice automatically stay up to date according to your paid membership!

Membership fees can be transferred forward for a justified reason. Such reasons include, for example, taking a break from studies due to parental leave or military service, or going on an exchange to abroad. If you want to transfer your membership period, please contact us by email at office@tamko.fi.

If you don’t redeem semester or academic year sticker to your plastic card, it will not transfer paid membership periods. The membership is automatically valid for the paid period. The transfer of the membership period must be requested before the start of the period in question. Tamko does not transfer membership fees for the current season or retroactively.

ORDERING A NEW STUDENT CARD

You can order a new student card to replace a lost or broken one through our online service.
If you are ordering a new card due to a name change, please contact office@tamko.fi. It is not possible to change your name through the online service.

Ordering a new card costs 5 €.

Payment can be made at the online service or when picking up a new card from the Tamko office by card payment or cash.
The student card will arrive at the Tamko office within 1-4 weeks (note possible peak hours) after submitting the application. A message will be sent to your TUNI email when the card arrives.
