1. Become an international tutor!
Come to welcome new exchange student arriving on January to TAMK and apply to become International Tutor. As International tutor you will help the exchange students to navigate around Tampere and Finnish student life. International tutoring is a great way to network and get new friends from around the world. You’ll get 2 study credits and an extra point from international tutoring at the end of tutoring, if you’re going to study abroad as an exchange student yourself.
There will be two training sessions organized by Tamko during autumn 2023 on 7th and 14th of November. Enrollment is open 9.10.-29.10.

2. Joint departure to Hämeenkadun Appro
Would you like to see what looks like one of the biggest student events, Hämeenkadun Appro, in Finland? Or do you have a ticket but don’t yet know who to go with?
Tamko and Parvi are organizing joint departure to Hämeenkadun Approt on 12.10. of October. You can join at 16.30 from TAMK Parvi (B1-24) or at 17 at the city centre In front of Pella’s Café at Koskikatu. Moving to the city centre from TAMK will be done by tram.
So come to meet new people from different degree programmes and enjoy the big event feel at Tampere city centre. There will be a group leader to meet you, you can recognize, them from Tamko’s blue neckband. You can tour with the group for as long as you wish, and you don’t need to have Appro ticket to participate the group. The group will decide themselves where they would like to go and in what order.

3. Mental Health Day and Friendly- challenge week
Mental Health Day and Friendly challenge week Even the smallest words and actions can have the greatest meaning – Let’s fill this week with friendly deeds!
How do you participate in the friendly challenge?

2. Choose the actions you want and implement them during the week!
3. When you have done the deed, mark the deed in Padlet by pressing the heart of the deed box
OR
Spot the jar on campus, pick up a friendly deed and implement the deed! Jars can be found from main campus and Mediapolis and with Padlet, you can participate from anywhere!
4. TOP 3 student benefits of the month

During October, you will receive -20% on normal-priced leather jackets with your student card.
Students also get 10% discount from all normal prices.
2. Ammattiliitto PRO
There are two options for membership. If you only want to join Pro Opiskelijat, select gold-level membership. This membership is free of charge. If you work occasionally and want to accumulate earnings-related unemployment security, you can also become an unemployment fund member. In this case, select platinum-level membership. Both options give you the same benefits as other members of Trade Union Pro.

5. Kolpakko five year anniversary
We welcome you to celebrate Kolpakkos five year anniversary with us!
The party is on October 21st, 2023 at Messukylän työväentalo (Messukylänkatu 47, 33700 Tampere). Doors open at 17 and the event starts at 18.00. Dress code for the event is black suit or cocktail. For members ticket is 60€ and non-members 70€ and it includes food and drinks at the party, overall patch, transportation to main events afterparty and next day afterparty (Sillis).

6. Trick or Treat PISTOT
The time of Halloween horror and fun is here again, and we want to invite you to celebrate with us! Come and spend a terrifyingly entertaining evening full of fancy dress, drinks and Halloween fun!
Jump into the magical and scary world of Halloween with us! This evening will be full of great Halloween fun, which you will have memories of for many years to come!

PISTOT is organized by TTO ry, TIRO ry and PIRATE ry

7. PISTOT X KOLMIOT party cruise
Last year’s hit event PISTOT X KOLMIOT party cruise is coming again this December!
Busses depart from Tampere on December 13th at 2 pm and return on 14th at 8 pm. After the cruise we’ll keep the spirit up at Kolmiot from 9 pm onwards (tickets must be purchased separately)
