1. DigiGate online event has started today!

Tamko’s annually organized Portti Työelämään -trade show (the Gateway to working life) has become DigiGate for this year and the event started this Monday! Join the event by using your phone, tablet or computer because the event platforms are  Tamko’s Instagram and Facebook page and website

DigiGate week’s programme is here:
Mon: DigiGate starts! Publishing the organizations and tips for making a good CV.
Tue: Presenting companies operating in the social and health service sector. Tips for job applications.
Wed: Presenting companies of the engineering sector. Interactive day in stories.
Thu: Presenting an assortment of companies working in diverse sectors. Alumni stories and inspiring career paths.
Fri: Presenting companies of the engineering sector, compilation of the organizations and ending the event 

Now it is possible to find a job from your own sofa! DigiGate is happening 31.1.-4.2.2022!
Tamko’s student associations and clubs and TAMK’s Career Services are also taking part in organizing DigiGate.

2. Welcome to council meeting 8.2.2022!

Welcome to the Council’s first meeting of the year on 8th of February 2022 at 4 pm. Because of prevailing the corona situation meeting will be held as a Teams-meeting. All members of Tamko can attend the meeting. In the meeting Council goes through current affairs.

3. Valentine’s Day event 14.2.!

Tamko, SportUni and Parvi are organizing Valentine’s Day event on Monday 14.2. at 12-16 on Näsijärvi ice! Put warm clothes on and come by yourself or with friends! Save the date and follow Tamko’s social media, more information is coming up!

4. CLINT: Arctic Karaoke

Come to experience the Finnish karaoke culture and sing your heart out at Arctic Karaoke!

WHAT? An outdoor karaoke party 
WHEN? 2.2.2022 at 5pm 
TICKETS: Tickets cost 4€ on Kide.app – There is only a limited amount of tickets.
WHERE? Tamko office front yard (Kuntokatu 3, L-rakennus)
WHAT TO BRING? Your friends, own drinks and some cash (to buy food/refreshments)

Remember to only come to the event if you are 100% healthy and do not break quarantine if you have one.

5. Welcome to enrol to friend activity! 

Would you like to meet new friends from the TUNI community?
Enroll to friend activity where you will get matched with friedn who is interested in same sort of things that you are!

Friend activity is organised by Tampere University, Tampere University of Applied Sciences, YTHS (Finnish Student Health Service) and Finnish Red Cross Tampere Branch. The activity is coordinated by Finnish Red Cross Tampere Branch. 

Please fill the form carefully and tell widely about yourself. It will help us to find you a suitable friend. Collected information will be only used to find you a friend and they will be not hand over. Only the employee of the Finnish Red Cross Tampere Branch can see the forms.

6. NääsPeksi is looking for producers!

If you have a passion for musical theatre and improvisation, this is your chance to fulfill your dreams – apply to be producer for the NääsPeksi 2022!

Speksi’s producers (3-4) work through the year, beginning in spring and ending after the autumn’s show-run. Producers are responsible of the recruitment of the creative and technical talents, deciding schedules for the autumn’s performances and maintaining finances of the production. Therefore persistence, organizational skills, financial responsibility and time management are a must for a producer. Fluent Finnish is not required but it is a major asset as the working language for the production will be Finnish.

7. Come and join us in Parvi!

Parvi is a physical place (B1-24 TAMK, main campus) and a platform for activities focused on the well-being and learning of our university students as well as creating a feeling of a community. Get Stuff Done:
Mondays 10-12 (Zoom) and Thursdays 13-15 (Parvi and Zoom)
Using a specific technique (Pomodoro) a facilitated moment to carry out school tasks, house choirs etc. Come and join us!

CV clinic: Come and discuss how you can make your CV even better at a Zoom-meeting. Alternatively, you can send your CV to careerservices.tamk@tuni.fi and they’ll send you comments on the following Friday.

The Orientation for Well-being is built around an online seminar at 15-16 on Teams. The event features speakers from student support services from in and around the universities’ community. Find out the speakers and more here.

8. Student healthcare fee due date is today 31.1.!

Students in universities and universities of applied sciences who are entitled to use the services of the Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS, Finnish abbreviation YTHS) must pay a healthcare fee to Kela. In 2022, the student healthcare fee in higher education is EUR 35.80 per term. The fee may be paid to Kela for both the spring and the autumn term. You are not billed for the fee, but are expected to pay it unprompted. 

The due dates are determined based on the date on which you have registered as attending. There are four possible due dates in each calendar year. For the spring term, the due date is today, Monday 31 January provided that you have registered as attending by then.
