1. Welcome new students!
Tamko welcomes new students to TAMK! Us Tamko folks are here for you and if you have anything on your mind during your studies feel free to message us! You are also welcomed to have a cup of coffee, play board games or borrow ice skates from our office Solu! We are open Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm.
2. Student! Join the Study & Stay workshop to share your ideas!
STUDY AND STAY project is looking for international and Finnish students to participate in workshops for active brainstorming and finding ideas for students to meet, socialize, communicate, plan social events for students and learn Finnish language and culture in practise. We want to hear your thoughts, ideas and opinions related to upcoming events and developing the Study & Stay programme.
There will be two idea workshops, one in January and the other one in February at TAMK or online. The first workshop will be held on Monday 17th January at 15.30-17.30 at TAMK main campus or online depending on the covid-situation. We will decide the time for 2nd workshop in January, information coming later.
If you are interested to cocreate and organize social events for the international students with the project team, please do not hesitate to contact us. We plan to organize social events each month in coming years. You can register and leave your contact information here or contact the project team:

3. Advance voting for the county elections is starting this week!
Student, vote in the county elections! The advance voting period for Finland’s first county elections is 12-18 January 2022 and the election day is 23 January 2022. By voting in the county elections, you will be able to influence who decides on your social and health care services in the Pirkanmaa welfare area for years to come.
Welfare areas will provide students with all social and health care services that are not covered by the FSHS. These services, such as special health care, emergency care, and some primary care examinations, are needed by many students. This is why it is important that students’ voices are also heard in decision-making in welfare areas.
