1. Tamko’s Easter Egg Hunt!

Tamko and the Easter bunny have been going around the main campus to hide some sweet surprises for you all! Go and try to find easter eggs with Tamko’s sticker! There are also a few eggs with a surprise in them better than from a Kinder!

Egg hunt will start tomorrow on the 12th and last until Thursday the 14th.

Go and have fun!

2. Solu’s opening times during Easter

Tamko’s office Solu is open 9am till 4pm as usual but Easter brings out few exceptions.

3. Tamko’s Wappumetri 20.4.!

Oh boy, it’s that special time of the year again! What better way to celebrate the upcoming summer than the traditional final party of the academic year organized by Tamko. Loppumetri is making a comeback in the form of Tamko’s Wappumetri which will outshine even Kimi Räikkönen’s comeback in Formula 1 in 2012!

The event takes place in Ilona on the 20/4/2022, and the doors will be open from 9 pm till 5 am. Preordering the ticket costs €4 and tickets bought at the entrance are priced at €6. Preordered tickets have their own queue to Ilona all the way till 12 am.

This event is the official afterparty for the PakoPutki Vamos a la Playa -event.

4. Spring it on -spring event this Wednesday!

Spring Event in honor of returning to campuses and the student mental health day on this Wednesday 13 April for everyone at TAMK main campus at 11-16!

TreSilienssi, Tamko, SportUni and some of the Students’ Associations are organizing, together with a few interest groups, an event for all of TAMK’s students and staff in honor of returning to campuses and the national students’ mental health day. The event will be held at TAMK main campus lobbies and the front square (Teiskontie side).From the event you can find the organizers’ stands, Proakatemia’s teampreneurs’ products, a social circus, Setlementin Kiusatut: Prevent (support and guidance concerning bullying), Omavoima (support and guidance for neuropsychiatric features) and Näsinkulman Klubitalo (support for mental health).

Our own hospitality management students will be serving mocktails and our physiotherapist students are selling a body composition measurement for 5 euros. They are also organizing a compression competition as well as a balance track.

Our university pastor will be serving pancakes alongside Tamko and Parvi throughout the event and live music will be served by TAMK’s own band.

The main artist for the event is a sympathetic singer-songwriter Samae Koskinen, who will be performing at 14-15!

Come and enjoy the presence of the community, the variaty of programme and the first touches of spring along with others!

5. Blood donation at main campus 28.4.

You can save a life!
Blood donation is an easy way to help and only takes about an hour. Come along to save lives!

Tamko and SPR are organizing blood donation at TAMK main campus lobby on Thursday 28.4. from 10am till 3pm.

You can book an appointment for donation and make a health survey in advance at https://www.bloodservice.fi/

Donating blood is a tangible and easy way of doing good. Every day, patients in Finland need the help of 800 blood donors. The blood donated by volunteers helps over 50,000 patient a year. This help cannot be replaced by money or medicines. Blood products are administered to patients of all ages, from unborn babies to the elderly. Blood products can often save lives.

Who can donate?
You can donate blood if you are from 18–70 years of age, weigh at least 50 kilos and have no health complications that would make you ineligible to donate blood. First-time donors cannot be over 59 years of age. You can test your eligibility to donate here: https://www.sovinkoluovuttajaksi.fi/#

When you go to donate blood, please bring a photo ID issued by a competent authority.

6. WAPPU-Start 14.4.!

The traditional WAPPU-start by TTO, TIRO and PIRATE is back!

Come to Ratinanniemi 14.4. and have fun with various activities and tasks starting from 4pm. After you have gathered eight stamps from the activities at the area, you can get WAPPU-start overall patch from the organizers tent. You can also win prizes from the event!

With you, you will only need a happy spirit and possible snacks and drinks if the thirst or hunger decides to come by surprise.

WAPPU-start also has it’s own afterparty! Which is held in Ravintolamaailma. You can purchase a ticket to the afterparty from kide.app at the cost of 4€

This year Tamko is also involved in organizing the event!

You can also find a Student Counselor/Teacher for Special Needs and Student Wellbeing Advisor have a walk-in nearly each day of the week at Parvi and online!

8. Permanent booking application to SportUni sports facilities for summer 2022 is now open

Permanent booking application to SportUni sports facilities for summer 2022 is now open. Application form is open 4.4.-17.4. Times can be applied by associations, clubs, sports clubs, departments etc. organized groups. Exception in Hervanta bommari floor ball bookings that can be applied by peer groups as well.

Summer bookings run 2.5.-28.8. There will be a new application form for autumn bookings later on May. More info markku.tamminen@tuni.fi

Please apply your bookings by real need not just in case. There have been a lot of empty permanent bookings especially in ball gaming halls during spring. They could have been used for badminton shifts. We will start following bookings’ occupancy rate more accurately in future.
