1. Solu opening hours during week 9

Winter holiday week, more commonly known as self studying week, is here and it affects Tamko’s office Solu’s opening hours.

Our office doors are open in reduced length during week 9 (26.2.-1.3.)

Monday       10 am – 2 pm
Tiistai           10 am – 2 pm
Wednesday  10 am – 2 pm
Thursday      10 am – 2 pm
Friday                closed

However, during opening hours, you are welcome to borrow suitable equipment for winter sports sledges, sliders, hockey sticks, ice skates, and ice fishing equipment!

2. Come to showcase your culture at Everybody’s TAMK event!

Welcome to co-organize the Everyone’s TAMK event with us in March 2024!

TAMK has students from all around the world. It would be great to get to know all of them! We invite both our students and staff to participate in the implementation of the event alone or with friends – do you want to come along, for example, showcase your home country and its culture? Would it be food, music, dance, art? Or something else – feel free to share your ideas!

The event is part of the Anti-Racism Week at TAMK, and its main organizers are the Talent Boost program and Tamko. 

What: Everybodys TAMK event

3. Hangouts goes hang out!

Hangouts goes hang out! You can spend time together like never before in March at Hangouts. There are a plenty of things to do for example you can sew your overall badges, draw, play boardgames or just hang out. You can also come to enjoy the sauna and remember to bring your own sauna attire. So come to Solu’s sauna on 4th of March from 5 pm.

Tamko offers snacks and drinks but you can also bring your own snacks.
Hangouts is a free and alcohol-free event.

4. Participate in feedback sessions

Student feedback was collected last year in the spring and autumn feedback weeks in the form of a new student and annual feedback surveys. Feedback was also collected from master´s degrees and through Graduation phase survey.  
 
During the spring, students and staff will discuss the feedback at joint degree programme specific events, in which the possible development measures will also be agreed. 
 
Follow your Degree Programme’s info on the time of the feedback events, get involved and share your ideas!

5. Enrolment for SportUni courses begins soon!

The second SportUni sport course enrolment period of spring starts on Monday 4.3. at 9am!There is a wide variety of courses available: cross-country skiing, dance, swimming, wall climbing, hand balancing and many others!

Check the course list online and find the most interesting courses for you. You can enrol on the courses page or through My Page -> selection calendar, once the enrolment period has started.

Please note that the SportUni fee needs to be paid before enrollment. If you pay online, please note that it takes 1 day for the SportUni fee to be updated to the register, so we recommend you to pay the SportUni fee in advance. Most courses also have a separate course fee that needs to be paid before the course begins. Make sure you pay the course fee before the due date! The enrollment is binding and don’t forget to read the course terms!

The course list might be updated with new courses throughout the spring.

6. Film festival party 2024

Sä muistatko Laila sitä yhtä torstaita?
Laila and many others would remember these parties when it’s time for the best party of the year again, Filkkaribileet 2024!

This year, the Filkkaribileet organized during the Tampere Film Festival will move to the legendary Yo-Talo on Thursday 7 March 2024 from 21:00 to 03:00!

During the evening, the amazing Arppa duo will perform for us!! In addition to this, the wonderful Sara-Maaria is our DJ, and the VJ of the evening is Mikrovision! The theme of the party is the 60’s, so dress up in swinging 60’s clothes and come and enjoy the evening!

7. Kaljankaato 21.3.

What is a good day made of? Well, of course beer! Get ready to raise your glasses because BOSA’s and Kolpakko’s legendary Kaljankaato is back on 21st of March.

During the pub crawl you get to visit the restaurants that are marked on the map in the order you choose. You can get one stamp from each place after purchasing a student-priced drink. You can also complete the pub crawl by enjoying refreshments other than beer, even non-alcoholic!

8. TiTeLAN 2024!

It’s time again to spend a restless weekend at Tamk’s largest lan party event – TiTeLAN!

Source and Syntaksi are bringing you the perfect meeting place for every fan of gaming and lan parties. Our awesome sponsors have provided some snacks and energy drinks for the participants! Disassemble your battlestation and come to Sportuni Kauppi to exhibit your skills in fragging, fighting games, ice hole fishing or farming. You can also join without a computer spot and play with consoles or hang out in good company. There will also be tournaments with awesome prizes for the winners! If you didn’t sweat enough while competitive gaming the sauna is warming up in the evening so don’t forget your swimsuit and towel.
