Last week, National Union of Students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences – SAMOK gathered representatives of student unions from all over Finland for a union meeting at TAMK. At the Union meeting, after the changes, the Student Unions approved, for example SAMOK’s political program and budget for the next year.
At the Union meeting, a new board was elected to SAMOK for year 2023. Joonas Soukkio was elected as the chairperson of the board for 2023, who served as the chairperson of Studen Union Tamko on 2022.
“This is one of the greatest and most wonderful moments of my life. In 2023, I will do everything I can to ensure that the government negotiations following the parliamentary elections make long-needed and critical improvements to students’ livelihoods and well-being,” said newly elected Soukkio.
