The Council for 2026 held its inaugural meeting on TAMK’s main campus on 19 November 2025. During the meeting, all statutory matters were decided, as well as, for example, the representatives for Campusravita Oy’s general meeting and board. The constitutive meeting is the first meeting of the new Council, and the guest chairs were Tamko alumnus Joonas Soukkio and the 2025 Council’s Chairperson Riina Ahvenus.
Constituting the Representative Council
Venla Vihtasuo was elected Chairperson of the 2026 Council, and Elsa Osipova was elected Vice Chairperson. There were two candidates for the position of Chairperson and three candidates for Vice Chairperson, so both elections were conducted by vote.
Election of the Board for 2026
Saara Ahola was elected Chairperson of the 2026 Board. There was one candidate, so no vote was held. There were two candidates for Vice Chairperson of the Board, from whom Ruvindu Gamage was elected.
The size of the Board was set at nine members in addition to the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson. The following were elected as Board members: Akseli Savonen, Jasper Reilson, Veeti Pulkkinen, Alex Ojala, Helli Mäkeläinen, Nita Nieminen, Minttu Koskinen, Joel Leino, and Onni Myrskylä. There were ten candidates, so a vote was held.
After the Board election, the Council was supplemented by selecting the next available Council members according to the order of priority to replace those who moved from the Council to the Board. It was also decided that the Board’s constitutive meeting would be held at a time suitable for the Board members by the end of the first week of December.
Election of Tamko’s Central Election Committee
Laura Luga was elected Chairperson of the Central Election Committee and Elsa Osipova as Vice Chairperson. Both positions had two candidates, so a vote was held. The following were elected as committee members: Venla Ouramaa, Sara Hyvärinen, Jenna Sorjonen, Jenni Räsänen, and Jenni Santaharju. There were eight candidates, so a vote was conducted.
Other Decisions

Mikael Wänskä is proposed as Chairperson of the Board of Campusravita Oy. Suvi Mäkeläinen and Executive Director Petri Laaksonen are proposed as Board members of Campusravita Oy. Jarkko Hannula, Chairperson of the 2025 Tamko Board, was elected as the representative for Campusravita Oy’s general meeting.
