The new Council’s organization meeting was held on the 22nd of November 2023 in the E1-06 auditorium of TAMK’s main campus. The Council’s Chairpersons, the board of the Students’ Union and student representatives for different committees for the year 2024 were elected at this meeting.

The Council’s Chairpersons presented their own role and tasks to the new Council.

Organization of the Council
Aku Käkilehto ran for the position of Chairperson of the Council and she was elected to the position.
Tommi Kantola ran for the position of Vice Chairperson of the Council and he was elected to the position.
Election of the board for the term of office 2023
Julia Väänänen ran for the position of Chairperson of the board and she was elected to the position.
Minja Kero ran for the position of Vice Chairperson of the board and she was elected for the position.
In addition to the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, the board consists of at least three and at most nine members. This year, the Student Union’s Board has had 8 members, each of whom has been assigned their own area of responsibility. In accordance with the board’s proposal, the board of representatives decided that the number of board members should be 8 people.
Riku Pitkänen, Erica Kinnunen, Veera Bohjanen, Emma Kaunismaa, Jarkko Hannula, Riina Ahvenus, Jenny Mustikka, Topias Nikki, Santeri Heino and Rosa Lella ran for the position as board members.
Riku Pitkänen, Erica Kinnunen, Veera Bohjanen, Emma Kaunismaa, Jarkko Hannula, Riina Ahvenus, Jenny Mustikka and Topias Nikki was elected as a member of the board.
Completing the Council if necessary
Jenny Mustikka joined Tamko’s board from the actual members of the Council. In her place, Nona Wallasvaara at SoTen Valitut Palat -list became an actual member. Veera Bohjanen joined the board from deputy members. With their rise to the board, they can no longer act as deputy members of the Council.
Deciding on the organizational meeting of the Students’ Union of Tampere University of Applied Sciences Board
The organizational meeting of Tamko’s board is held immediately after the organizational meeting of the Council ends at the Student Union’s office.
Choosing the Central election’s board of the Students’ Union of Tampere University of Applied Sciences
Kia Kauppinen ran for the position of Chairperson of the Central election board and she was elected to the position. Nona Wallasvaara ran for Vice Chairperson and she was elected to the position. Patrik Mäenpää, Eetu Korhonen, Jesse Hytönen, Dagmar Wiren, Eelis Danemann, Santeri Heino and Matti Aho ran for office as members of the Central election board. They were chosen for the duty.
The official information channel of the Students’ Union of Tampere University of Applied Sciences
As in previous years, the website was chosen as the Student Union’s official information channel for 2024.
The members of the Opiskelijan Tampere board
Tamko’s board nominated Tamko’s executive director Jasmeet Saini and the Vice Chairperson of Tamko’s board for the year 2023 to Opiskelijan Tampere’s board. Minja Kero was previously elected as the Vice Chairperson of Tamko’s board. According to the board’s proposal, executive director Jasmeet Saini and Vice Chairperson of the board Minja Kero were elected to the positions.
Campusravita Oy’s general meeting and board members
Tamko owns approximately 80 % of Campusravita Oy and thus appoints three members to the company’s board and a representative to the general meeting. According to the proposal of Tamko’s board of actors, the board of representatives elected Linda Vallenius as the general meeting representative, Kia Kauppinen Mikael Wänskä and Kati Tuomisto as board members.

The new board and chairpersons of the council received flowers and hugs from previous Chairpersons of the Council.
