1. Exceptions to Solu opening hours in spring
There will be some exceptions to the opening hours of Tamko’s office Solu during the spring. Our office will be closed on the following days:
– Thu 30.4. (May Day eve)
– Fri 1.5. (May Day)
– Fri 8.5.
– Thu 14.5. (Ascension Day)
– Fri 15.5.
– Fri 22.5.
– Fri 29.5.
At all other times, our office will be open normally. Wishing you a sunny spring and welcome to our office!
2. Hangouts: Martat x Tamko 13.4.
Come spend a relaxed evening hanging out with us and the Häme-Pirkanmaa Martat!
At the event, you’ll get an easy introduction to Martat activities and have the chance to craft your own overall buddy with guidance from volunteers. You can also try embroidery, and there will be some tasty Wappu-themed snacks available!
You’re also welcome to just drop by and hang out in a relaxed atmosphere.

PIRATE, TTO, TIRO and Tamko are inviting you to join the most raucous start of the year’s May Day – to the Wappustartti!
Expect a legendary checkpoint tour, where student associations and clubs offer activities, laughter and competitions in Ratinaniemi. The party continues after the checkpoint tour, as the atmosphere is lifted to the max and we move on to celebrate at the Wappubileet.

4. Temporary arrangements in TAMK’s parking area
The parking area between TAMK’s L- and I-buildings will become a construction site during week 16.
As part of the D-building construction project, the parking area between the L- and I-buildings on the Tekunkatu side of TAMK will be renovated. The work will begin in week 16 and is scheduled to be completed by week 36.
Due to the construction site, parking in the area will be unavailable during weeks 16–36. During the construction period, using the exterior doors on the construction site side of B-building and I-building is prohibited.
5. Brunches for Student Families
Saturday Brunch for Student Families are here! Join for a relaxed Saturday morning where we prepare and enjoy a delicious brunch together. The activity is free of charge and intended for students with children. Please come together with your child.
It’s a great opportunity to enjoy good food, meet other student families and spend time together. Note that the main language of the meetings is Finnish. You are warmly welcomed even if you don’t speak Finnish but would like a safe environment to practice it.
Saturdays on even weeks, 10:00–12:00 from April 18th to June 13th.
Meetings are held in Kamula (Mustanlahdenkatu 18). The space can accommodate 30 people at a time.

6. AD OP Pirkanmaa: First-time home buyers deal
Home loan without a loan origination fee for first-time home buyers
Thinking about buying your first home? As a first-time home buyer, you can get a home loan from an OP cooperative bank without the origination fee until the end of August 2026!
You will get the benefit when you receive a loan offer from us no later than 31 August 2026 and take out your home loan during the validity period of the loan offer.

The campaign is valid until 31 August 2026. Home loan is a one-off loan. Let’s look at a home loan where the loan amount is 170,000 euros. The loan term is 20 years. The loan margin is 0.7%. Calculating with the 12-month Euribor of 2.205% (valid on 23 February 2026), the annual percentage rate of charge of this home loan will be 3.1%. In addition, a loan servicing fee of 2.50 euros will be charged each month. When the loan is drawn down, a one-off origination fee of 680 euros will be charged. The estimated total cost of the loan is 226,456.93 euros. In this calculation, we assumed that the entire loan was drawn down at once, that the loan interest rate, fees and charges stay the same throughout the loan term and that the loan is repaid in equal payments of 938.24 euros every month. There are 240 instalments. The example calculation is indicative only. The loan term, loan amount and interest rate used in the calculation represent a typical loan issued by an OP cooperative bank. The discount on the loan origination fee is not included in this calculation.
