There will be some exceptions to the opening hours of Tamko’s office Solu during the spring. Our office will be closed on the following days:
Thu 17.4. Maundy Thursday
Fri 18.4. Good Friday
Mon 21.4. Easter Monday
Thu 1.5. May Day
Fri 2.5.
Fri 23.5.
Thu 29.5.Ascension Day
Fri 30.5.

2. Tamko’s new Expert of tutoring and internationality

Tamko’s new Expert of Tutoring and Internationality Oona Virtanen started her work 1.4. Originally from Pirkanmaa, Oona has a background in e.g. higher education and working with competence development. In addition, she is familiar with student activities and tutoring from her own study times.
“I look forward this new work! It is great to get involved in Tamko’s activities and to develop tutoring activities and internationality matters. Definitely come and say hi. Hope to meet you soon!” Oona says.

3. Vote in county and municipal elections!

Final days to vote in advance at county and municipal elections!
Advance voting period ends on Tuesday 8.4.
You can vote in advance at TAMK main campus on Monday and Tuesday 7.-8.4. at 8-18.

You can also vote at the election day Sunday 13.4. at your own polling station.
County and municipal elections are important place to make an impact for student related issues, so Tamko encourages everyone to vote!
4. Advance voting event – come vote with us!

Come vote with us! Tamko, along with student associations and clubs, will be participating in the advance voting event on Tuesday 4.8. in the Teiskontie lobby from 10.30-12.
We’ll also be handing out cute election patches at the event! And since it’s important to enjoy election coffee and bun afterward, Campusravita is offering a special deal for election bun and coffee! Remember to bring ID with you.

5. Students’ mental health week event on Wednesday

Students’ Mental Health Week is this week 7.-13.4. and the theme of the week is “Student, how are you?”
Tamko is organizing fair event on Wednesday 9.4. at 11-13 at TAMK main campus lobby together with sub-associations. Come to see what we have come up with!

In front of Parvi, you will have the opportunity to meet mental health organizations and learn about the support they offer. The following organizations will be present: Mannerheim League for Child Welfare (MLL), Osviitta, Sinuiksi, FinFami and Näsinkulman Klubitalo.
6. Hangouts @Mediapolis!

Hangouts arrives to the Mediapolis campus. Challenge others in board games or you can sew overall badges. You can also just come and hang out.

8. Wappustartti 16.4.

It’s time to kick off Wappu again! Although, to be honest, it never really ended.
Come start Wappu with TTO, TIRO, PIRATE, and Tamko on April 16th from 5 PM to 9 PM at Ratinanniemi! Take part in a free carnival-themed checkpoint tour and earn your Wappustartti overalls patch!

9. Flea Market

VETO-kerho is organizing the popular flea market event for university students at Tampere University of Applied Sciences for the fourth time!
The event operates like a traditional flea market: students can reserve a table spot and bring their items for sale at TAMK’s main campus for two days. Items can be conveniently left overnight without hassle, as the Stage doors will be locked when the flea market is closed. Everyone from all campuses are welcome!
You can reserve your table here! A table can be reserved individually or shared with a friend.

10. Mesikerho’s Overall games

Overall games – Outdoor games & BBQ Evening!
Looking for a fun and relaxed evening with outdoor games? Join Mesikerho’s Overall games on Monday, April 14th at 5 PM at Santalahti grilling area! We have some games planned, but participants can also suggest and choose their own.
Dress code: student overalls (optional, you’re welcome to join without them too). The event is free and open to all students. After the games, we’ll enjoy drinks and grilled sausages (including a vegan option, remember to mention this when claiming your free ticket).
Please note: Unfortunately, the event is not accessible. A harassment contact person will be present to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

11. Laser Tag with CLINT

Have you ever wanted to show stormtroopers how it’s done? Now is your chance! Join us at Megazone on the 9th of April for laser tag fun time.
There are two groups that start the event 15 minutes apart, so you get a chance to rest between games. Each group will play two games in 20 minutes sessions. In your group you will battle against each other in three teams. Make sure to join the same group as your friends, since the two groups won’t be playing with each other.
The first group should arrive at 17:45 for briefing and the other group at 18:00. Make sure you’re there on time since you won’t be able to join the game without the briefing.
