1. Answer survey about student’s yearly Nysse ticket

STUDENT PRICED YEARLY TICKET? Does that sound good? Answer the survey and join us in influencing public transport in Tampere!
Tamko and TREY are working together to lobby for a student-priced yearly ticket for Nysse. The results of the survey will be used to influence public transport, for example, to determine students’ willingness to purchase an yearly ticket and the price they are willing to pay for it.
Responding takes a couple of minutes and four 50 € gift cards for the S-Group will be raffled off among the respondents.

2. Participate in your field’s feedback session!

Student, you are the expert on your studies and their smooth running is a matter for all of us. The best way to bring your views to the attention of TAMK and your degree program is to participate in the Feedback Sessions during March-April!
Feedback Sessions are sector-specific discussion events where feedback from students is reviewed, a snapshot of the situation of the studies is shared, and development measures are agreed upon together. A representative of Tamko is also involved in the discussions.
Degree programs will provide more detailed information about the dates and mark them in the Valvomo table.
Dare to influence the quality of education and the affairs of your own degree program and join the feedback session for your own degree program!
3. Students’ Mental Health Week and HeartRush happening

Students’ Mental Health Week, coordinated by Nyyti ry, will be celebrated on 9–15 March. The week raises awareness of students’ mental health and promotes a more mental health-friendly study culture. This year’s campaign theme is belief in the future. The aim of the theme is to support students’ confidence in the future and address issues that may weaken it. You can find Nyyti’s peer support groups and the week’s events in Nyyti’s calendar.
HeartRush happening
Tamko is also organizing small HeartRush happening as part of Students’ Mental Heath week! We will hide small chocolate hearts with nice messages attached on them to main campus and Mediapolis on Wednesday 11.3. Can you find a small nice moment for your day?

6. Remember to pay the healthcare fee, DL 15.3.

Students – Remember to pay your healthcare fee
The due date for the healthcare fee for students in higher education is 15 March. You can pay the fee handily in the OmaKela e-service (available in Finnish and Swedish only).
If you are a higher education student and you have registered as attending, you must pay the student healthcare fee by 15 March at the latest. The fee is EUR 35.35 per academic term, and it helps the Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS) offer comprehensive student healthcare services. We recommend paying the healthcare fee before the due date. If your payment is late, you will also have to pay a fixed late-payment charge.
You can pay the fee in OmaKela by selecting Oikopolut (Shortcuts) and then Korkeakouluopiskelijan terveydenhoitomaksu (Healthcare fee for students in higher education).
Not sure if you have already paid?
Visit OmaKela to check the details of the student healthcare fees you have paid. First select Oikopolut (Shortcuts) and then Korkeakouluopiskelijan terveydenhoitomaksu (Healthcare fee for students in higher education) and finally Maksut (Payments).
Pay the fee in OmaKela!
7. TiTeLAN 2026!

It’s that time of spring again when it’s time to pack your sports bag, grab your friends, and come find out who really has the better gaming socks? To where? To TiTeLAN, of course! SOURCE ry and Syntaksi ry are once again joining forces to bring the familiar LAN event to the Kauppi SportUni from March 20th to March 22nd, 2026.
The doors to this traditional event will open on Friday at 8:00 p.m., and the slightly sweaty LAN atmosphere and the clatter of keyboards can be experienced until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. Due to renovations in TAMK’s D building, access to the event venue will be through the main entrance of SportUni.
Of course, there will be tournaments again! As usual, we will find out who will catch the famous “kahen kilon siika” in the Pro Pilkki 2 tournament. We will also find out who is the best at hitting the hole in the Golf With Your Friends tournament, which was very popular in the fall. In the third tournament of the spring, you will get to beat up your familiar and less familiar fellow students with permission when the Gang Beasts tournament kicks off.
You can also participate in the event without a computer spot, as the regular ticket includes the badge, hanging out, and console games. Please note that Golf With Your Friends is a paid game!
The sauna will be heated on Friday and Saturday evenings, so be sure to pack a towel and swimwear.
The event is alcohol-free and open to all students, regardless of their field of study.
The tournament schedule will be published closer to the event.
