3. Strong recommendation to use masks on campus!
The general recommendation to use masks is valid in the entire Tampere region. In their meeting on 23 November, the pandemic steering group of Tampere region announced the highest rates of Covid-19 infections in the area since the beginning of the pandemic. The steering group recommends face masks to be used in all working environments.
Therefore, at TAMK we strongly recommend everyone to use a mask whenever staying in the campus facilities. Masks and hand sanitizers are always available in both lobbies, Teiskontie and Kuntokatu.
4. Covid-19 vaccination bus at TAMK main campus 9 December
The Covid-19 vaccination bus keeps on touring in Tampere. The bus visits TAMK main campus (Kuntokatu 3) on Thursday, December 9th at 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. On the bus, you can get vaccinated even if you are living in another municipality. International students can also get a free vaccination on the bus.
You do not need to book an appointment in advance, just come to the queue. Bring your Kela card, driving licence, passport, or ID card to prove your identity. Be prepared to stay for 15 minutes after the vaccination.
On the vaccination bus, you can get your first, second or third vaccine. You can get your second shot if at least six weeks have elapsed from your first one. The third shot can be given six months after the second one. If you belong to any risk group or if you need more information about the vaccinations, please check this Tampere website.
5. TAMK Parvi has moved to room B1-24
TAMK Parvi has moved to service street in room B1-24. All the activities continue normally. Parvi is a place for students and you can use it to study when you wish. Check the calendar from Intra: TAMK Parvi Well-being Calendar (tuni.fi) and don’t fly solo!
