Tamko’s Council had its Spring Meeting at TAMK Main Campus on 15.4.2025. What is going on in Tamko?
The Council’s Spring Meeting is a statutory meeting, which means that the meeting and matters addressed in it are written in Tamko’s rules.
Changes in the composition of the Council
We declared the Council’s deputy-members Juho Ström, Sebastian Markus, Niko Karhu, Veikka Kairala, Joonas Nisula, Mikael Risberg, and Daniel Popa as resigned from the Council because they had missed three meetings without notice. We updated the composition of the Council and the orders-of-priority for the lists BBA Students and Engineers. This means that the next in line on the list will take the spot of the resigned Council member.
What have Tamko’s actors been up to?
In the beginning of April, the Council met with Campusravita regarding school dining and its quality. In the meeting, the Council discussed the quality of school dining, gave feedback, and suggested ideas on improvement. Campusravita will take these suggestions into action. Thanks to this meeting, the Council and Campusravita will, in the future, be meeting in the same context annually. On the Council, you can concretely impact your daily study-life! All students can give feedback to Campusravita via their website and feedback screens in the cafeteria. Remember that Tamko’s members get discounts to Campusravita!
Tamko’s actors did a lot of work for the Municipal and Regional Elections. Tamko hosted an election panel on 31 March where students heard from candidates and asked them questions. Also, Tamko met with several candidates.
Tamko’s actors have actively gone to degree feedback sessions to stay up-to-date on what feedback students have given and how the degrees are improving based on the feedback. Also, Tamko trained the new tutors. Tamko’s actors have met with the head of TAMK multiple times to discuss students’ matters. Tamko has a survey open regarding membership, which you should answer! In the survey, you can voice what you wish from Tamko’s membership. The survey is open until 11 May.
Approving the annual report, annual accounts, and auditor’s report of 2024 and discharging liable parties from liability
These are the matters that are stated in the rules to be addressed in the Council’s Spring Meeting. In the Spring Meeting, last year’s matters are finished and it’s made sure that everything has been done properly.

Student Representative Positions
Tamko has a representative position on the Board of TAMK Oy. This is for Tamko to make sure that students’ voices are heard on TAMK’s Board. The Council chose to propose Tamko’s Chairperson of the Board Jarkko Hannula for the representative position on TAMK Oy’s Board for 2025-2026.
The Chairperson of the Board Jarkko Hannula will also represent Tamko in the shareholders’ meeting of TCR-Palvelut Oy as a representative that holds a vote.
Uninovis is a European Higher-Education Alliance. Tamko’s Council chose the Council’s deputy member Elina Pärssinen to represent on the Uninovis Executive Council.
