What is Tamko's Council?
Council’s official term is from 1st of January 2017 to 31st of December 2017. Council’s duties include naming the chairperson of the council, the chairperson of the board and the board itself. It also accepts the plan of operations and the budget for the upcoming term and validates the students’ union’s policies. It supervises the actions of the board and decides on many things, such as the rules of the students’ union and the amount of the membership fee.
The council elects student representatives to the board of TAMK and to the positions recited in the law regarding Universities of Applied Sciences (932/2014, 12§, 2 moment, 4th paragraph).
