1. Solu opening hours

Holdays are coming and Solu is slowly getting ready for Christmas.
See below for the exception schedules for the rest of the year in our office opening hours:

2.-12.12. 
Solu is open during normal opening hours
EXCEPT Independence Day 6.12. and Friday 13.12. when Solu is closed.

16.-18.12.
Solu is open on shortened opening hours from 10 am to 2 pm

18.12.-1.1. 
Solu is closed

2.1.2025
Solu opens again and you can apply for stickers on student cards!

2. Tamko’s Christmas party

Christmas is just around the corner and now there’s a lizard peeking from there! So it’s time for Tamko’s Christmas party and a good ol’ Lizarddisco! Tamko’s Christmas party will be held 5th of december at 10pm at nightclub Bricks. This will be the best party of Christmas, with an absolutely amazing overall badge and the evening will starred by Tampere’s coolest rap group Kosmiset Liskot!!

The ticket price is 3€ for Tamko’s members and 8€ for non-members/at the door, excl. coatroom. You can arrive in little black, elf costume or familiar and safe overalls!

3. Tamko’s new actors have been elected!

The Council elected the Council’s Chairpersons and the new Board for 2025 in the Council meeting on 20.11. The acquainting of the newly elected actors will start in the next few weeks and they will start their office term in January.

In the coming year we will turn our operations into bilingual, as for the first time ever, non-Finnish speaking actors are involved! This is great!

4. Gateway to Working Life recruitment fair in January!

Gateway to Working Life is coming again on 20.-22.1.2025!

Gateway to working life (finnish name: Portti Työelämään) is recruiting event for TAMK students where local and national organizations come to TAMK to meet their future talents. The organizations are offering different kinds of work, internship and thesis opportunities plus a chance to communicate with them. The fair is free and organized at TAMK main campus and event hours are every day 10am-2pm. 

The program also includes opportunity to take free professional CV photograph as well as CV clinic and one-on-one opportunities to get to know companies!

5. Mesikerho’s Christmas party

Welcome to Mesikerho’s christmas party after the autumn meeting!

Tickets: 4 €
Date: 4.12.2024
Time: The meeting is at 14:00, and the christmas party from 17:00.
Place: Autumn meeting TAMK C4-13a, christmas party Niihaman Ulkoilumaja (Pikku-Niihamantie 80, 33560) – Arrive by your own means or, if necessary, alongside the Mesikerho board members!

We will be able to relax together, grill sausages, enjoy warm drinks and there is a possibility to hit the sauna and swim in the lake (with a separate ticket bought from Niihama Café. We also recommend you dress warm enough for the winter weather! Welcome along to enjoy great company and the christmas vibes!

6. Parvi activities in December

Parvi activities in December

In December, Parvi starts getting ready for the holiday season. In December, you may still attend the Get Stuff Done -workshops in Zoom. The last Sparris-workshop of the year organised 3.12. at 15-16, Tips for Writing @Zoom  

Parvi’s own advent calendar will open in Parvi’s Instagram-stories from 1.12 onwards!

Following events take place in Parvi as part of the advent calendar:

  • 3.12 Follow the Instagram stories and find the overall badges on campus!
  • 5.12 Holiday spirits at the Service Point! Christmassy goodies available. 
  • Origami crafts in Parvi at 16-17
  • 10.12 Parvi Christmas pop-up at 11-14! You can join to watch Christmas programs, decorate gingerbread cookies and say hello to Parvi staff!
  • 12.12 Knitting Corner at 9-12 in Parvi (B1-24), no previous experience of knitting or crocheting needed, you can come with our without a knitting project of your own.
  • 17.12 FinFami Pop-Up at 11-13. Are you worried about your loved one’s mental health and/or your own ability to cope& support someone with a mental illness? Feel free to come and talk to FinFami staff members and find out more about the organisation!
