1. Exceptions to Solu opening hours in May

There will be some exceptions to the opening hours of Tamko’s office Solu during May.

Our office will be closed on the following days:

Mon 5.5.
Fri 23.5.
Thu 29.5.Ascension Day
Fri 30.5.

At all other times, we’ll be open normally.

2. Answer to Tamko’s member survey!

Tamko’s member survey is now open – share your thoughts about Tamko’s activities and help developing them!

The survey is intended for all students of Tampere University of Applied Sciences, so you can respond even if you are not a member of Tamko. The survey can be answered anonymously until May 11, and it takes about 10 minutes to complete.

If you want, you can leave your contact information to participate in a raffle for a Campusravita gift card. Four Campusravita gift cards worth 25 € each will be drawn among all who provide their contact information!

3. SyysFest tickets are now on sale!

SyysFest 2025 is an interdisciplinary student event in Särkänniemi! 

In SyysFest, Särkänniemi is reserved for students who have bought tickets for the evening! The student festival, which is already being held for the seventh time, will arrive in Särkänniemi at the beginning of the semester. Come and get to know new student friends, celebrate community spirit and have fun among fellow students at SyysFest!

WHEN? Thursday 11 September 2025 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
WHERE? Särkänniemi, Tampere
HOW MUCH? Ticket price 15 € (+ Kide.app service fee)

The ticket is exchanged for the Särkänniemi wristband. You will need a valid student card or certificate for the wristband exchange.

4. Drinking game crawl

What do you get when you put drinks, games and queueing together?

Well, the booziest Drinking Game Crawl ofcourse!

Tarina ry, together with Tampio, Taso, TTO, VETO and TARE, is taking you on a tour around the parks and bars of Tampere on Drinking Game Crawl on 8.5.2025! 

The passes can be retrieved from Bar Passion at 16.00. They can be returned to the Bar Passion at latest 21.00, when a draw will be organised together with Soossi (@soossi_official). The crawlpass will be your ticket to the draw. And the crawlpass/patch will be your ticket to the afterparty at Heidi’s Bier Bar. 

What: Drinking Game Crawl
Where: The parks and bars of Tampere. Retrieval and returning of the passes in Bar Passion. Afterparty at the Heidi’s Bier Bar.
When: Thursday 8.5.2025 16:00 – 21.00. Note: The crawl points will be closed at 20.45.
Dress code: Put on your overalls and play!
Tickets: The tickets will be sold on Kide app from 17.4. onwards. Ticket sales ends 7.5 23:55! The tickets for members 5€ and for non-members 8€.

Accessibility: Not all of the spots are accessible. Precise information about accessibility will be found from the crawlpass.

5. Apply to become TAMK’s Student Ambassador

Are you excited to share your study experience and tell future students what TAMK is really like? Would you like to take part in events, fairs and social media to represent your degree programme? If you’re nodding along, we have great news – you can now apply to become a Student Ambassador!

A TAMK Student Ambassador is a current student who shares their own experiences of studying and student life with prospective applicants. As an ambassador, you represent your field of study and act as a friendly and approachable example of what studying at TAMK is all about.

Plus, you’ll earn a little extra on the side since the work is paid!

What kind of things can you do as a Student Ambassador?

• Visit high schools and vocational schools
 • Take part in fairs and event
• Lead campus tours
• Chat with applicants on Unibuddy
• Write blog posts and create podcasts
• Produce content for TAMK’s social media channels

Student Ambassador work is based on voluntary participation, so you can choose the tasks that interest and inspire you most.

6. Finland’s largest League of Legends student tournament

The League of Legends OSM 2025 is here! Compete in Finland’s largest League of Legends student tournament and earn your cut of the 1000€ prize pool!

7. AD OP Tampere: Bank’s Representative Assembly

Hey student!

Are you an owner-customer interested in a position of trust and making an impact in your own OP cooperative bank? OP Tampere, soon to be OP Pirkanmaa, is looking for active owner-customers who are interested in shared issues and bring their own expertise to contribute. You can register as a candidate online from August 21st until September 11th.

The highest decision-making power at OP cooperative banks is exercised by the Representative Assembly elected by owner-customers from among its members. The Representative Assembly adopts, for example, the OP cooperative bank’s financial statements and is in involved in the most significant decisions related to the bank’s operation. In the Representative Assembly, you can also create new networks and follow the development of your region’s economy!
