Student events bring joy to the everyday life of exams and lectures. There are a lot of different events organized weekly around Tampere from the sport related events to excursions, alcohol and non alcohol events also. Most of the events are organized by student associations and clubs of the Tampere Universities and that means that many events are cross-disciplinary so all students in the University Community can participate in the events. Welcome to the Inland Cruise Are you scared of cruise ships? Do you need to prepare for future cruises? This exceptionally great cruise will stay far enough from water while having the fun and benefits of a normal cruise. So come and join us on this unforgettable journey to different bars around neighboring towns! Our wheeled cruise ships will leave from the Hakametsä Ice Stadium on the 1.10. and the check-in begins at 15.30. After loading the ships we will raise the anchors and head to the first harbor. During the trip we will stop at carefully selected places where we will get to know some local bar culture. Prepare to spend about seven hours on this fantastic experience. After the trip we will continue the night at the official after party where you can share your own memories from the cruise. So come join us and bring your friends! This event is brought to you by Kolpakko, HAPPO and SOURCE. The tickets can be bought from Kide.app for the price of 17€ which includes a couple of drinks so all thirsty individuals should bring some drinks of their own. The annual Ruskaretki (Autumn Walk) is happening on Wed. 2.10.2024! You're welcome to enjoy the finnish nature with us in Kintulammi nature preserve! A bus will transport us from the Kuntokatu main doors at TAMK at 14 o'clock, heading towards the Kintulammi hiking area. The group will walk on the Kintulammi trails to a lean-to shelter, enjoying the autumn on the way. At the site there will be sausages, juice and marshmallows. We'll return by bus at 21 o'clock. The total amount of walking will be around five kilometers. The trip has been financed by the Metsämiesten Säätiö trust fund. Donations and fund fusions are an essential part of the effectiveness of the fund's beneficial activity. TARE; SOPU and Konekerho are joining forces once again in the form of Pi**uralli! The year’s fastest event is held on Wednesday 2.10. starting at 16:00. Gather a team of four (4) people to complete different kinds of tasks in various bars all around Tampere city centre, all while quenching your thirst if you so desire. Your performance in these tasks will be judged and you will be awarded points accordingly. If you feel like you deserve more points, you can try and raise your points by for example performing something or giving a nice little gift to the judges. Points cannot be awarded for alcohol or nudity, so let’s keep those shirts on and flasks closed. The best team will get a prize for their great accomplishment! The tickets will go on sale on Wednesday 11.9. on Kide.app. A team ticket costs 16€ for members and 20€ for non-members. To be eligible for a member ticket, at least half of your team has to be a member of one of the organizing parties. Please note that only one member of your group has to buy the tickets for the entire group! The ticket includes the round itself, a cool overall patch and an afterparty at Bricks. Are you also fed up when at least half of your student grant is always wasted on some approt? Would you like to spend some relaxed time with friends without spending time in a mile-long bar queue? Don't worry, we have a solution for you: Pussikalja-Approt! PIRATE ry is organising Pussikalja-approt on Thursday 3.10. at 17:00 in Sorsapuisto! At the event, you can immerse yourself in the culture of Pussikaljailu while spending quality time with friends and checking out the activities on offer, such as kyrpong, kaljamölkky and twin sumo wrestling! Stamps will be collected on the basis of the cans drunk at the event. First-time participants will get the Makustelija-degree, which requires a moderate four drinks to complete. Are you bold enough to progress to Hörpiskelijä, Ryypiskelijä or even Pesusieni? Please note that this is the first time that the Pussikalja-approt is being held, so you can only get the Makustelija-degree. Please also note that the round can also be done without alcohol! After the round, your performance card will be returned to the finish area, where you will receive overall badge for your performance. The official afterparty for the event will be Haalaribileet at Ilona's Entertainment World. Doors open at 21:00. The event is open to all. The tickets will be sold on 16.9 at 14:00 on the Kide.app! Fun Run on October 21st! 🤩 PIRATE ry is hosting the Fun Run event for the first time during Tamko and TREY’s wellbeing week. The aim of the event is to raise funds for Mieli ry while benefiting your own health by moving your body outdoors. For every kilometer covered in the event, PIRATE will contribute a small amount to the donation fund. The route is a total of five kilometers, and at each kilometer mark, there will be a playful or refreshing checkpoint where you must briefly stop to record the distance covered. You don't have to complete the entire route; you can return to the starting point from any checkpoint. The event will follow a pre-planned outdoor trail close by the TAMK area. The event will take place on Monday, October 21st, from 15-20 o’clock. You can start the route alone or with others anywhere between 15-19 o’clock. The start and the finish line are at the same location, in front of Solu at TAMK. Although the event is called a “run,” you don’t have to run the route; you can walk, jog, roll, or bike as you prefer. Please dress appropriately for the weather and use reflectors and other necessary safety gear. The event is alcohol-free. The event is also open for everyone and free of charge, but the number of participants is limited, so register on Kide.app! Do you feel like dancing? TaTeK and TIRO together is having a couple dance event to cheer you up this semester! Event takes place at Friday 25.10. at Messukylä Työväentalo. Grab your friend or be brave and come alone to join us for this warm and chill dance event! The doors open at 5pm, and live band starts at 5.30pm. The dress code is student overalls, or any clothes that you feel comfortable in. Recommended shoes are running shoes, dance shoes or in door sport shoes. You can also bring your own drinks for refreshment. Ticket sale starts at Wednesday 2.10, 11am. Price is 6 € (member of TIRO or TaTeK) Live band TamKeys is guiding us to the heat of the dances. Before each song we go through the simple steps and style of the dance, so previous dancing experience is not needed. You get an overall patch from this event! If you still feel like you want to learn the dances before the event, join our free couple dance training in Tuesday 22.10. at 14.15 - 16.00 at Sportuni gymnasium, second floor. We will go through all the type of dances, and you feel more comfortable to show your skills in Friday's couple dance. It is time to taste small student-priced meals along the center of Tampere. Buy a ticket, pull-up your overalls, pick up your hungry friends and go try the foods with the guidance of SnäkkiAppro Pass. If you already have PrepChef and JuniorChef badge in your overalls, it is time to rise up to the next level and achieve the MasterChef badge! Also, SnäkkiAppro is a great opportunity for new students to get familiar with the restaurants in Tampere. The start is from Dam Bar Tampere at the time indicated in your ticket. Soppasauna 20 years! Back in history the ancient Phoenicians had a tradition of holding a maze- drinking contest at the end of each autumn harvest. The goal was to drink as much as possible, and the last man standing received the honor of copulating with the chief’s daughter. For which the penalty was death. The games were, despite the penalty, very popular and ironically led to the final destruction of the Phoenicians. In the honor of this fine tradition, TTO holds an annual event, Soppasauna. By completing the "Ladlemaster’s Degree" you will receive an award, the Master's Ladle, serving the role of the Chief's daughter. This is a highly prestigious award worth fighting for. How do you complete to the LadleMaster’s degree? Form a pair, either with your friend or your enemy, and empty (by drinking) a crate of (24pcs) in three (3) hours - without letting go of the crate for a millisecond. Where: in Kauppi's saunatila (Biokatu 8) This proud TTO tradition is very exclusive by it's nature, only a limited amount of participants will be accepted.So be quick with your registration, or be without! Tamko’s events
Tamko is involved in different kind of events, both as an organizer and as a partner. The most important thing is, however, to organize as versatile culture and leisure activities as possible. Tamko tries to take everyone into consideration to guarantee that majority of students could attend the events.
Established events organized by Tamko include for example the New Students’ event called Tursajaiset in September and January, the Gateway to Working Life recruitment event, studying year opening and closing partes and various advocacy and student welfare events on campuses.
