PIRATE ry is hosting the Fun Run event for the first time during Tamko and TREY’s wellbeing week. The aim of the event is to raise funds for Mieli ry while benefiting your own health by moving your body outdoors.
For every kilometer covered in the event, PIRATE will contribute a small amount to the donation fund. The route is a total of five kilometers, and at each kilometer mark, there will be a playful or refreshing checkpoint where you must briefly stop to record the distance covered. You don’t have to complete the entire route; you can return to the starting point from any checkpoint.
The event will follow a pre-planned outdoor trail close by the TAMK area. The event will take place on Monday, October 21st, from 15-20 o’clock. You can start the route alone or with others anywhere between 15-19 o’clock. The start and the finish line are at the same location in front of Solu at TAMK.
Although the event is called a “run,” you don’t have to run the route; you can walk, jog, roll or bike as you prefer. Please dress appropriately for the weather and use reflectors and other necessary safety gear. The event is alcohol-free.
Join in for some outdoor fun and help raise money for a good cause!

Welcome to break your personal records!
At Bench Max Friday, we’ll first hit our max on bench press, then head to sauna. This event is not a powerlifting competition. Participants will be divided into three groups: men’s group, women’s group, and an open “monster” class. The event is free for spectators, but participating in bench press costs 3 €. Register for the event via the link below. You can also join on the spot spontaneously, but using the registration form helps us gauge the number of participants and reach out to them with event-related information.
Gym-goers of all levels are welcome to the event. It doesn’t matter if your bench press is 20 or 200 kilos.

Accessibility: Is the event accessible: The passage to Kamula is unobstructed. The door facing Satakunnankatu can be reached by a taxi. There is a movable ramp at the door of Satakunnankatu. At the entrance there is a doorbell at a suitable height, by ringing which the employee will open the door and put the ramp in place. Between Kamula and Kotipizza on Mustanlahdenkatu, you can also drive to the courtyard, where there is an accessible parking space for 2 hours. The distance from the courtyard to the door is asphalted and flat, but the distance is over 25m. There are no floors and thresholds in the interior. If there are more people in the space, there is plenty of room to turn around, if necessary, moving light furniture a little. Kamula has one gender-neutral toilet that can be used to move around in a manual wheelchair. Unfortunately, it is not possible to use an electric wheelchair in the toilet. You can participate in the event with an assistant and a guide dog. There is no induction loop in Kamula.

Sekava’s Queer Cursing Night is a great opportunity to let out some steam and talk about your worries in a safe environment. The concept of the event was inspired by feminist swearing nights. The event is held on Saturday 26.10. at 16-18 in Kamula. Some snacks, as well as tea and coffee will be offered at the event.
