1. Enroll now for degree tutoring!

Enrollment for degree tutoring ends on Sunday, 17th November. So now is your last chance to enroll!

Degree tutors are helping out new degree students of TAMK. They are playing an important part in integrating new students to Tampere and Finland. Degree tutors will gain new friendships and study credits: sounds like a great deal, huh? The training aims to train foreign students to work as degree tutors with their Finnish peer tutor colleagues.

2. Portti työelämään – Gateway to Work-life 21 – 23 January 2020

Portti työelämään recruiting event comes again! The event is held at TAMK main campus lobby area on 21 – 23 January 2020 at 10am – 2pm. Welcome to fetch a work, trainee or thesis place!

The event is free for TAMK students and aims to create a low-threshold meeting place for students and representatives of different organizations. Event days are themed according to different fields of study but you should keep an eye on all event days and find the organizations which are the most interesting to you.

There’s a wide range of organizations attending to Portti työelämään and you can find the full listing of them from Portti työelämään website, Facebook event and later from the event catalogue.
Check out the most interesting organizations from the listing and bring your CV with you.

In need of a CV prepping? No worries, you can get your CV checked at TAMK working life services’ CV stand in the event. There’s also an opportunity to have your photo taken by a professional photographer in a CV photo booth.

3. Safety and security at TAMK and Tampere

4. Tolu’s weekly sports shift 12 November

Tolu organizes a 2-hour drop-in sports shift every Tuesday from 5PM – 7PM at TAMK’s sports hall. We’ll play a different sport each week and on next time it’s going to be basketball!

All TAMK students and staff are welcome to join, and there is no skill requirements. We just want to get you moving. We provide all the gear except for your sports attire and indoor playing shoes. You don’t need a SportUni membership in order to attend, just say to customer service desk that you’re coming to Tolu’s sport shift.

5. Tolu’s Megazone 18 November

Tolu organizes 4 hour laser tag evening at Megazone on 18th November at 8pm – midnight! There will be different kind of laser tag games during the night, so if you haven’t played laser tag before we will start from the basics and you’ll become a true laser tag champion before midnight. Tickets can be purchased at Tolu’s web-store Holvi.

Be quick. There is only limited amount of laser guns. Dress some comfy dark clothes, bring water bottle, maybe some snack and towel. Be on time. not later than 19:40. HAVE FUN!

6. CLINT’s Hell Hike 16 and 17 November

CLINT’s Hell Hike is here again! Join us for a day in the beautiful Finnish outdoors at Helvetinjärvi National Park! We will leave from TAMK at 10am Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th (choose day that suits you), and arrive back sometime in the evening, likely between 6pm and 7pm.

Prepare for some hiking and tons of fresh air! There is a possibility to cook with open fire. We’ll bring some sausages and marshmallows for you, but we recommend you to bring some extra food for yourself.

There is a minimal price for the trip to cover for the food, meaning TAMKO members will pay 2€ and non-members 4€. Transportation from TAMK to Helvetinjärvi and back included. Prepare to mention any possible diets and allergies when booking your place.

The places are very limited and will be distributed at a “first come first served” basis. Tickets are available in Kide.app.

7. Tolu’s fall climbing excursion 13 November

Are you ready to reach new heights? Tired of keeping your feet on the ground? Join tolu for a fun climbing excursion on November 13th at 6pm. For the low price of 5€, you can come climbing at the Irti Maasta climbing gym at Tullintori for an hour. You don’t have to have any previous experience, as there will be an instructional session that everybody has to attend before we start climbing. So get some friends together and come get some easy, fun exercise. Tickets can be bought through Solu, or our online store Holvi. The link for the online store is on our Facebook event page.

8. Hakamettän Haalarilöylyt 26 November

Ice hockey, activity checkpoints and student life – this is what Hakamettän Haalarilöylyt is all about! TaRe ry organizes the most eventful student event the sixth time. Tampere is known as a city that loves ice hockey and that’s why the students take over the hall of Hakametsä every year. Whether you are a huge sports fan or just love all kinds of student events, this is one you wouldn’t want to miss!

This year we will be excited to see Tappara go against TPS from Turku. No matter which team you’re rooting for, you’re certainly going to catch the feeling of the game!

Before the game a checkpoint circuit is held in which you and your team (maximum 6 persons) will be doing different tasks! The best team will be rewarded with a gift card for a box for Tappara’s game for 6 persons.

After the game we have an after party in Doris! There won’t be entrance payment excepy the jacket hold (3€). Doris is also open for other customers so we can´t guarantee that all can get in. That´s why arrive in time to Doris!

This event won’t cost you much: only 7€ (from a stand)/ 7,70€ (online, kide.app) which includes:
– check point circuit
– tickets to the game
– patch

There will also be student-priced drinks at the hall.
