1. Council elections – stand as a candidate ends on 9 October
You can now stand as a candidate in Council elections ’till 9 October (noon). 21 members will be elected to the Council. You are eligible to vote and stand as a candidate in Council elections if you’ve paid the Students’ Union membership fee and registered as an attending student in TAMK.
In order to stand as a candidate, you need to fill out a candidate notification on our website or a paper form at Tamko’s office. Also, remember to sign up to an election list. Please note that Council’s working language is Finnish. Tamko has got an info about the following lists: Insinööri (engineering students’ list), SoTen Valitut Palat (social and health care students’ list), Palvelualan ammattilaiset (hospitality management students’ list) and Soittomediapolista (Music and Media students’ list).
2. Enroll now for international tutoring!
You can now enroll for international tutoring on 7 October – 3 November 2019. International tutors are helping out new exchange students of TAMK. You can enroll here. International tutor trainings will be held on 20 November and 28 November at 5pm at auditorium G00-10. Coffee and sandwiches will be served in the trainings!
International tutoring is a great way to network and get new friends from around the world. You’ll get an extra point from international tutoring if you’re going to study abroad as an exchange student yourself. First year students are also warmly welcomed to enroll!
Ps. Enrolling for degree tutoring will open later in October, so keep an eye on our messages!
3. Wellness week 28 October – 1 November
Welcome to Tamko and TREY’s mutual Wellness week from 28th Oct to 1st Nov 2019. From Monday to Friday there are various events to support one’s wellness and health in all university campuses.
On Tuesday 29th Oct there is a Wellness fair at TAMK main campus. Organizations that are focused on wellness are represented in the fair. You can get information on how to support your wellness during and after your studies. You will receive a stamp to your Tursaspassi Passport by organizing or participating in an event during Wellness week.
4. Tolu’s weekly sports shift 8 October
Tolu organizes a 2-hour drop-in sports shift every Tuesday from 5PM – 7PM at TAMK’s sports hall. We’ll play a different sport each week and on this week it’s going to be ultimate frisbee!
All TAMK students and staff are welcome to join, and there is no skill requirements. We just want to get you moving. We provide all the gear except for your sports attire and indoor playing shoes. You don’t need a SportUni membership in order to attend, just say to customer service desk that you’re coming to Tolu’s sport shift.
5. SportUni’s open house in Wellness week 29 October
Welcome to TREY and Tamko’s mutual Wellness week from 28th Oct to 1st Nov 2019. From Monday to Friday there are various events to support one’s wellness and health in all university campuses.
There is Open House Day in SportUni Centres on Tuesday 29th Oct all day. During Open House Day you can enter free of charge to our Sport Centres. Please show your student certificate in reception.

6. Are you familiar with new intra? – check out new info videos!
Our University community’s intra has been released a couple of weeks ago. Are you already familiar with all the functions? The Student Union of Tampere University has made great info videos for your convenience. Videos include info about the intra’s advanced search, search for contact details, handbooks, waffle menu and your profile. Check out the videos from YouTube.
7. SportUni open normally during autumn holiday
SportUni centres are open normally during the autumn holiday week. The week is from 14th to 20th of October. You can check all our opening hours from SportUni Facility Calendar (choose the campus and room).
8. Enroll to InnoEvent!
You will receive 2 credits for taking part in the week’s event. InnoEvent is a five-day innovation competition where students put theory into practice by developing solutions for local companies, municipalities and public actors. This year’s challenges are now ready!
The event will be held 4. – 8. 11 at Kauppi Sports Center, culminating on Friday 8.11 at the awards gala where the winning team from each case assignment will be awarded a monetary prize of 1000 €.
Sign up for Finland’s largest innovation event and develop your own solutions to real company challenges. This is a great way to network with students and companies!

10. Sport weeks 27 September – 24 October
This fall, for the first time ever, there will be sports activities for every Tampere Universities’ student in October! We at the board of Mahti have been working hard over the summer to announce the first-ever Sport Weeks at amazingly low student prices! There are ten sports to choose from, each of where you can train together with friends.
On Facebook, you will now find the Sport Weeks event, which has a list of sports and schedules that will give you an overview of each sport from its own event.

- Wed 9.10. at 20-21 Body care lesson
