1. We’re looking for order supervision persons for Tursajaiset!
Do you’ve a valid license for order supervision? If so, come to Tursajaiset on 11th of September from 12 o’clock onwards! As an incentive, we’re offering staff pass with all the benefits, thank you sauna at Solu’s sauna and a free ticket to autumn’s greatest party, Alkumetri (4th September)! 2. Tamko’s office Solu is open again normally
Tamko’s office Solu is open again with normal opening hours from Monday to Friday at 9 AM – 4 PM. Solu services include student cards, SportUni fee, overall patches, event tickets, and of course, advices and support to your questions about student life. Welcome to Solu!
3. Tamko’s autumn campaign- win a 100€ S-group gift card!
Tamko has launched its traditional autumn campaign. This year we’re raffling off 5 pcs of 100€ S-group gift cards among Tamko members.
Two gift cards are raffled among new Tamko members who have applied with an electronic application form and paid for multi year membership and the other three gift cards among all members of Tamko whose membership is valid on 1st of October 2019. So now is a great time to become a Tamko member or get your membership payment done for this autumn!
4. SportUni’s new season has started!
SportUni’s new season has started on 1st of August. Group exercise classes for the autumn season will start on 2nd of September.
The SportUni fee is paid at your home University. There are different prices for Tamko members and non-members. SportUni fees for Tamko members are as follows: whole year 75€, autumn 44€ and spring 49€. For non-members the prices are: whole year 85€, autumn 50€ and spring 55€. Tamko members can make the payment at Tamko’s office (Kuntokatu 3, L-building) and non-members at Kuntokatu sport centre’s reception.
5. SportUni’s open house week 2 – 8 September
SportUni has an open house week in their sport centres in the beginning of September, 2 – 8 September. During open house week you can enter free to SportUni centres and you can try out different sports. Also new group exercise class season starts at 2nd of September. In order to enter at open house week, please show your student card in the reception.

– Dream Hostel: temporary accommodation for students
Found a place in Tampere but your rental agreement begins in September? Do you need temporary accommodation for the beginning of your studies? Don’t worry! Opiskelijan Tampere has made a deal with Dream Hostel! With the code HÄTÄ19 you can book a room located right next to Tampere University City Centre Campus. The code is valid from 1 August to 6 September but you can make the booking right away.
– INT Housing: apartments for exchange students
Opiskelijan Tampere is once again organizing apartments for international students in Autumn 2019. If you or your friend is going to study at TAMK or Tampere University, recommend INT Housing! There are still a few shared rooms left in furnished apartments. The rent includes everything: water, electricity, heating, insurance and internet. The contracts begin 1st August, so hurry up and apply!
7. Help fellow students – answer to a survey
Why is learning Finnish so hard? Working on your thesis? We can all help each other!
We, here in SCIL / Proakatemia, are working on support ideas to help build a community for those who want to learn and improve their Finnish and become a working professional in Finland.
