It is our pleasure and honor to announce to you that SOPU and Konekerho are again hosting the traditional BeerMölkky Tournament now with a brand new name. Going forward the event will be known as the Academic Beermölkky World Championship. This will not affect how the game is played nor what the event includes, so welcome to come and play for the BeerMölkky Championship in the old traditional way!
This year the event will be held 17. September on the Hakametsä sand field and the first games begin at 16:00 (please arrive early for the enrolment of your team). Form a winning team with five (5) of your thirstiest friends to come and compete together with others in the most magnificent competition of this autumn! After an intense competition there is of course going to be an afterparty! The evening will continue at Brick’s! And the doors to the afterparty open at 22:00. If you are not competing in the event but would like to join the afterparty tickets will be available for purchase at the door to Brick’s for 5€/ticket.
To many BeerMölkky is certainly a familiar event, but let’s still recap some of the important things. In addition to a five person team you will also need at least three (3) unopened carbonated 0.33l canned drinks (alcoholic or not). However if you advance through the preliminary round, it is a good idea to bring several (10+) cans with you. The rules of the game will be explained to every team personally, so that even the first comers can catch on to the rules easily and have a great time!
The ticket costs 30€/team for members and 35€/team for non-members. To be qualified to purchase the member priced ticket, the majority of your team (3/5 players) has to be members of either of the organizing parties. The ticket includes a team spot in the tournament, continuation tickets to the afterparty for the whole team, and amazing patches for your overalls.
The ticket sales on Kide.app start on 2. September at 13:00. NOTE! Only one person from your team purchases the ticket and lists the individuals belonging to the team. You better be quick because the tickets will be taken from under your noses!
