The Student union Tamko is once again having already traditional spring sits. This time the theme is all about professions, whether you'd like to show up dressed as a chef, constructor worker or a doctor! Let your imagination run wild. The best costume will be awarded! The sits is being held on Thursday 29th of March 5PM at Klubi 57. The tickets will be available soon in Bailataan.fi and costs only 15€ for Tamko's members and 20€ for non-members. More information coming later.

Sittning, or short sits, is a traditional dinner held at the student's union's or other nation's property, usually in a pub room or banquet hall. Sits have spesific traditions which include a dress code, meal and drinks, singing of traditional drinking songs and toasts. The sits is usually guided by a toastmaster. The tradition is wildy popular in Finland and Sweden.

6. PIMPLA med TAMPIO & TIRO!

Instead of sitting on lectures, why don't you do it close to nature? Let's go to ice fishing! Forestry and Engineering students are gathering to Kaupinoja bay to catch some cold water predators of Lake Näsi on 24th of February. The ice fishing competition starts at 1 p.m. next to the Kaupinoja sauna and ends when the sun sets (or when the Lake Näsi runs out of fish...). Sauna is warmed up at 3 p.m. This will only cost you 5€ (will be collected on site), so come and join us for a day full of fun!
