1. Vote at Council of Representative's election on 24 October - 7 November

Tamko´s council of representatives’ election’s electronic voting starts on 24 October 2018 at 10am and ends on 7 November 2018 at 3pm.

Registered members of the Students' Union (Tamko) who have paid the membership fee and are present during the academic year are eligible to vote at the election.

Identification information for the electronic voting (24 October - 7 November 2018) will be sent to TAMK email addresses before the election for all those who are entitled to vote. In exceptional cases, the identification can be send to other email address that the member has previously informed. Ballot box voting will be held on 6 November - 7 November 2018 at 9am - 3pm on all TAMK’s campuses in Tampere. Ballots are handed out on the election site. Tamko’s student card and official ID or passport are valid proofs of identity at the ballot box voting places. The election has 70 candidates on 7 lists. · Music Academy campus (F.E. Sillanpään katu 9, 33230 TAMPERE)

· Proacademy campus (Finlaysoninkuja 21 A, 33210 TAMPERE)

The electoral system used is called as the proportional representation in which multiple candidates are elected through allocations to an electoral list. This means that candidates who share the same field of study or the same ideology are on the same electoral list. So when you are giving your vote to a candidate, you are also voting for the candidate's electoral list.



2. Tamko's evening 24 October 

Welcome to play board games, sew overall patches and meet new people on 24 October at 5PM - 9PM to Solu's sauna! You can bring some games or etc. activities with you. Tamko offers some light snacks and drinks. 

You will get a stamp on your Tursaspassi from this event. Please note that the happening is non-alcoholic. Welcome to Tamko's office Solu!



3. Become a tutor!

Enroll for International Tutoring 8.10. - 4.11.2018

International tutors are helping our incoming exchange students. They take care that exchange students adapt tot TAMK and Finnish student life. International tutoring will give you a bunch of nice experiences and improve your language skills. Trainings will take place on Wednesday 21st of November and Thursday 29th of November.

Enroll for Degree Tutoring 22.10. - 15.11.2018

Tamko is seeking for new degree tutors to guide students starting in TAMK at autumn 2019! As a degree tutor you'll meet new people and get amazing memories! Degree tutoring is only for students who study in degree programs and don't speak Finnish as their native language. Degree tutors work together with their Finnish peer tutors colleagues. 

Trainings will be organized in the spring 2019.

4. Wellness week 29 October - 2 November

Something new to brighten your Autumn! You’re welcome to join Tamko, TamY and TTYY’s mutual Wellness week from 29th Oct to 2nd Nov 2018. From Monday to Friday there are various events to support one’s wellness and health in all three campuses – for both students and staff. 

On Tuesday 30th Oct you can hop on to a free wellness bus that runs between all campuses from 10am to 2pm, and participate in a Wellness fair held in TUT. Organizations that are focused on wellness are represented in the fair. You can get information on how to support your wellness during and after your studies. You can also visit related events in other campuses. The schedule of the wellness bus and full program of the Wellness Week are published soon!

You will receive a stamp to your Tursaspassi Passport by organizing or participating in an event during Wellness week. 



5. SYNTAKSI's Anime Evening 23 October

Do you like anime? Think you're the biggest weaboo around? You're in luck, because Business Information Systems club SYNTAKSI ry is bringing all anime lovers of TAMK together for SYNTAKSI's anime evenings! The next anime evening is on 23 October at 5PM-8PM in the auditorium A3-27. If you can't make it, follow SYNTAKSI in social media to stay up to date with the upcoming evenings. You can get a Tursaspassi-stamp from the event. 

 

6. PISTOT - Naughty Halloween 25 October

Happy Halloween! On Thursday the 25th of October, Union Work & Leisure club is filled with naughty but terrifying partygoers because the party is with a Halloween-theme, with a dash of naughty! On this night you get to release your inner devil and party until the morning!

The doors will be opened at 9.30PM and closed at 5AM. The bar contains a bunch of strengthening potions for you to enjoy all through the night. If you're in need for costume ideas, you can go check Punanaamio where by using your PISTOT partypass you'll get -20% off! Cut the line with a pre-ticket until 11PM. Please note that there is a photographer at the event and the pictures are published on the PISTOT Facebook page.

7. Free English Language Comedy 25th of October!

Welcome to enjoy free English language comedy at O'Connell's Irish Bar on 25th of October at 8PM. This time Comedy O'Connell's presents THE SHOWOFF!

ComedyO'Connell's newest show puts Improviser against Improviser, as 4 Players battle against one another to perform the best scenes, face the toughest challenges, and create the funniest characters, all in an effort to make you laugh and be crowned Biggest Showoff! It's a show NOT TO BE MISSED!

8. MORTAR - Explosive Comedy on 27th of October!

Welcome to enjoy International English language comedy at Tukkateatteri on 27th of October at 8PM. 

Mortar is Trent Pancy (USA), Martin Junna (EST), & Rauno Meronen (EST), professional improvisers who are the leaders of their local improv communities. These teachers and gurus will make you laugh, weep, and cry out for more through their unique style of explosive, grounded improvisation.

This show also features a showcase of local improvisers performing The Armando, a format from Chicago that uses monologues from a special guest to inspire improvised premise scenes, performed by the students of Martin & Rauno's Guest Workshop.
