1. Return your Tursaspassi Passport by 30th of April to Solu!

Tursaspassi Passport's deadline is just around the corner! You can get the last stamps from Tamko's Vappu evening on 25th of April or Bonus 2 by drinking coffee, tea or a glass of water at Solu. The last returning date for the Tursaspassi is on 30th of April. After that, the passes will be checked and the winners are announced.

2. Tamko's Vappu evening 25th of April 

Welcome to play board games, sew overall patches' and meet new people on 25.4. at 5-9 pm to Solu! This time Tamko is serving traditional vappu mead (sima) and doughnuts! You can bring some games, activities etc. with you. You will get a stamp on your Tursaspassi from this event to Overall patches' sewing evening or Board games evening. Please note that the happening is non-alcoholic. 



3. Finnish national championships of Taido 28th of April

The Finnish National Championships of Taido takes place on Saturday April 28th at 10am - 5pm at Vuoreskeskus (Rautiolanrinne). The event is free of charge.  

Taido is a martial art that stands out by combining acrobatics, such as somersalts and flips, with basic kick and punch techniques. This gives Taido a unique 3D effect. Welcome to join us and enjoy this spectacular sport!

4. WappuMättöRundi 24ht of April 

The coolest and sweetest happening during Wappu: the "WappuMättöRundi" is here again to all students who have a sweet-tooth! So take your friends with you and get yourself sugar high by eating cakes, candys, cupcakes etc. in different cafees! 

By attending the WappuMättöRundi, you will get an overall badge for your achievement! First timers will get "NamiMuffinssi" (YummyMuffins) badge with six (6) stamps, second time attendees will get "MättöMuffinssi" (StodgeMuffin) with eight (8) stamps and the veterans will get "DiabetesMuffin" (DiabetesMuffin) badge with eleven (11) stamps.

On the event day, you'll get your passport by showing your ticket. The passport includes all the coffee shops and their great offers, a map where you can check the locations plus information about the stamps. Starting point and "the finishing line" is Tampere University's Virta -building 1st floor lobby. The event starts at 12.00 and ends at 19.00 o'clock. There are three different tickets with starting times: 12.00, 12.30 and 13.00.

After you've collected all the stamps to your passport, go back to the Virta -building and you'll get an awesome overall badge as a reward! Dresscode: student overalls. Tickets (4,50€ + the sweets you eat) now available at bailataan.fi.

5. Tampere Philharmonic Choir is looking for new singers

Love singing? Get on stage and feel the greatest moments with us! The next singing audition takes place on Wed 23th May at 17.00-20.00. Book your audition time: aino.holma(at)gmail.com

In November we’ll sing the stunning Carmina Burana by Carl Orff with the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by chief conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali. More information



6. Traplight Games is looking for a game programmer! 

Traplight focuses on making community-driven free-to-play mobile games where the players can create levels and other in-game content. We are looking for new teammates to build amazing User-Generated Content experiences with. 

In the game programmer role you would be:

  • Implementing new front-end features to our games using Unity and C#
  • Working in a team
  • Prototyping and developing new games
  • Participating in developing our core technologies
  • Sharing your learnings, work and progress to others
